Here's what can be done to reduce calories and not left feeling hungry -
- Add vegetables or some lean meat to your pasta. this will increase its nutritional value.
- Have whole-wheat toast withan egg-white omlete for breakfast instead of white toast with jam.
- Avoid eating cornflakes, white rice and mashed potatoes if you are trying to lose weight.
- Avoid cream soups instead go for broth based soups.
- Instead of french fries, whip up some winter squash with some skim milk.
- Add beans when making chilli. It will add bulk without adding a lot of calories.
- Instead of a glass of orange juice, have an orange. It is less calorie dense and contains more fibre.
- Instead of a handful of raisins opt for water dense grapes.
